Cleveland County School District/Cleveland County Head Start provides services to 108 Head Start children and families in Cleveland County.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Cleveland County School/Cleveland County Head Start Program is:
- To ensure the children and families we serve feel that they belong to their community through developing a responsible attitude toward society, developing self-confidence and building self-esteem.
- To strengthen families and their ability to cope and excel with the world around them.
- To make parents aware that they are the primary educator of their, children, and they should get involved and stay involved in their children’s education.
- To ensure that every Head Start child will go to the public school system healthy, socially well adjusted, and ready to learn.
VISION STATEMENT
The Cleveland County School/Cleveland County Head Start Program’s vision for the future sees the Head Start program available to all children regardless of income, race, religion, or disabling condition. Our vision sees all agencies and programs serving children and families communicating and striving at all levels, community, state and national, to enhance and ensure a quality early childhood experience for all children. The children are our future, let us teach them well.
